Volunteering

Founded in 2026, our mission is simple: to make change, one step at a time, starting right here in the Jeffco community. As the rising cost of sports prices kids out, we believe every child deserves the chance to play and excel regardless of financial background — so we bring tennis and soccer to the community completely for free, equipment and coaching included.

We don't intend to stop there. We know so many children have the heart to play, and our goal is to ensure those aspirations are never limited by a lack of opportunity. We refuse to let a price tag interfere with a child's ambition.

Serving kids ages 5–13, we run free tennis sessions at the Ralston Valley High School courts and soccer sessions at the Westwoods Elementary fields, supported by a team of 35 volunteer coaches. We serve 300+ athletes across 100+ families in the Jeffco community, powered by grants and over $10k in sponsor funding.

Starting in September, we expanded to basketball, hosted at a private venue and supporting over 100 kids with free basketball practices, all equipment provided.

Over 4 months and 40+ hours of dedicated work, I led a team of 7 artists to create two full-scale, wall-covering murals donated to my former middle school. At Wayne Carle, we installed these in the opening hallway and recess courtyard, fostering community through volunteer efforts and artistic belonging. Created and completed in 2022, we left a long-lasting legacy of academic and artistic involvement that kids for years can appreciate.

Not only does this represent the artistic ability of my peers and I, but it symbolizes dedication and community service through tangible volunteering and real local impact.

Throughout my years of membership, I have participated in over 15 volunteer activities, contributing over 85 hours of real service action to activities like charitable card donations, nonprofit work, and local event volunteering.

I am a two-time recipient of the Innerview Merit award, recognized for high volumes of volunteer dedication and special involvement with several charitable activities.

I feel proud and overwhelmed with gratitude for the activities and opportunities I have been able to contribute to, and fostering community through volunteer action is close to my heart. Volunteering is not just signing up and checking boxes but is creating tangible impact and taking pride in the community you belong to.

The Ralston Valley NHS Chapter is built on scholarship, service, leadership, and character, all pillars I strongly align with and hold myself to.
