Privacy Policy
Effective October 27, 2026. This is the personal portfolio website of Sam Iannone, an individual based in Arvada, Colorado, USA, at samiannone.com. It explains what information the site collects and what happens to it. Questions go to sam@samiannone.com.
The short version
- The only personal information I collect is what you choose to send through the contact form.
- I use it only to reply to you. I never sell it, rent it or add you to a mailing list.
- The site has no analytics, no advertising, no tracking pixels and no tracking cookies.
- You can ask me to delete your message at any time.
What the contact form collects
The form on the About page asks for your email address (required), your name (optional) and your message (optional). It also records that you ticked the consent box. A hidden field catches spam bots and is left empty by people. Please don't send sensitive information such as health, financial or government ID details through the form.
How I use it
Only to read your message and reply to it. I don't use it for marketing and I don't combine it with other information about you.
Services that help run the site
Like any website, this one relies on a few outside services. When your browser loads the site, these services receive standard technical information such as your IP address and browser type, and each handles it under its own privacy policy:
- Netlify hosts the site, keeps routine server logs and stores contact form submissions. Netlify privacy policy
- Google Fonts supplies the typefaces. Google privacy policy
- jsDelivr supplies the code libraries behind the 3D graphics and smooth scrolling. jsDelivr privacy policy
- Open-Meteo supplies the Boulder weather shown on the home page. Your browser requests the weather for Boulder only; your own location is never looked up or sent. Open-Meteo terms and privacy
Links to other websites, such as LinkedIn, Instagram, news outlets and my ventures' sites, take you to sites with their own privacy practices. This policy doesn't cover them.
Cookies and browser storage
The site sets no cookies. It saves two small settings in your own browser so it works the way you'd expect. The Cookie Policy lists both.
How long I keep messages
I keep contact form messages only as long as I need them to reply and to keep a reasonable record of the conversation. After that I delete them. You can ask me to delete yours sooner.
Your choices
Email sam@samiannone.com to see, correct or delete what you sent me, and I'll take care of it promptly. Because the site doesn't track you, browser "Do Not Track" and Global Privacy Control signals change nothing here: there is nothing to switch off.
Photos of people
Some photos on this site show other people at events, games and volunteer projects. If you appear in one and would like it removed, email me and I'll take it down.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13, and I don't knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent me information, email me and I'll delete it.
Security
The site is served only over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and form submissions are stored in Netlify's protected dashboard. No website is perfectly secure, so please don't send anything through the form you wouldn't want stored online.
Changes
If this policy changes, I'll update it here and change the effective date at the top.
